Well, as summer fades and we face
the stark reality that some bars and restaurants think it's
perfectly acceptable to start advertising Christmas bookings
in mid-August, we're still pursuing the last glints of sunshine
on the festival trail.
This month it's been the Tartan Heart
Festival at Belladrum near Inverness - with the madness
of
Creamfields coming up mid month followed sharply
by Editors and Razorlight in Edinburgh (on the way back home
- smart idea).
And there's also the not-so-small issue of The
Foo Fighters playing Meadowbank Stadium mid August too. Busy
month
indeed
:D.
On a much more sombre note, indie afficionados
amongst you will have been saddened, as we were, by news of
the untimely passing of music guru Tony Wilson earlier this
month - a man who was responsible for introducing more pivotal
and influential bands to the world than can possibly be imagined.
The video
page right is of James playing a tribute to Wilson
at this year's Belladrum. They only wrote the song the day
before
and you can actually see singer Tim Booth reading the lyrics
to keep himself right. Wilson was a legend and will be sadly
missed - RIP.
As ever, please excuse the somewhat sketchy footage
- it's not easy holding a camera above your head as 10000
people dance around you in the rain ;)
On the subject of work (yes, finally we get round
to that old chestnut), we've also managed to find time to upload
some of the work we've being doing this last
couple
of
months.
